Soft, faded and quietly elegant. A pale blue-grey field holds three floral medallions in slate blue and dusty rose with scattered blossoms, framed by a dusty rose border of soft blue flowers. Finished with hand-tied fringe at each end.

Every knot is tied by hand by our weavers in Bhadohi, using hand-spun wool that softens and gains a natural lustre over the years. Because each rug is made by hand, small variations in tone are part of its character.

Frequently asked questions

How long will my rug take to arrive?
Every rug is hand-knotted to order just for you. Production takes 15–20 days, plus shipping time to your door.
What is the rug made of?
100% hand-spun wool, knotted by hand with a 10 mm pile. It is dense, durable and softens beautifully with age.
Does the rug shed?
New wool rugs shed a little loose fibre at first. This is normal and settles down after a few weeks of regular vacuuming.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum gently without a beater bar and spot clean spills with a mild detergent. For a deep clean, use a professional rug cleaner. Rotate the rug every few months for even wear.
Do I need a rug pad?
We recommend one. A rug pad stops the rug slipping, adds cushioning and helps it last longer.
What sizes are available?
This runner comes in widths of 2, 2.5, 2.6 and 3 ft and lengths from 5 to 14 ft. A sample is also available. Choose your size from the Size menu above.
Can I order a sample first?
Yes. Choose Sample from the Size menu to see the colours and feel the wool before ordering your full rug.
Will my rug look exactly like the photos?
Each rug is knotted by hand, so small variations in colour, pattern and size are normal. They are part of what makes your rug unique.

Our heritage

Three generations of craft

Our family has made rugs in Bhadohi, the heart of India's carpet-making country, for three generations. The skills passed from grandfather to father to son are the same ones in every Taana rug today.

Every piece is made by hand: sculpted with a tufting gun, tied knot by knot on the loom, or hand-woven into a thick chunky weave. No two are ever exactly alike.
