A quiet sea in soft blue. The traditional Japanese seigaiha pattern, overlapping scalloped arcs that stand for calm ocean waves, covers the rug inside a smooth plain border.
Everything is carved tone-on-tone in a single slate denim blue, so the waves appear through texture and light rather than colour. It feels wonderfully calm with pale oak, linen and natural wood, in living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners.

Our heritage
Three generations of craft
Our family has made rugs in Bhadohi, the heart of India's carpet-making country, for three generations. The skills passed from grandfather to father to son are the same ones in every Taana rug today.
Every piece is made by hand: sculpted with a tufting gun, tied knot by knot on the loom, or hand-woven into a thick chunky weave. No two are ever exactly alike.
